Mid-East Commission Area Agency on Aging Regional Advisory Committee The mission of the Regional Advisory Committee is to provide leadership and direction in the development of a comprehensive service system for older adults in the Mid-East Commission Planning and Service Area (Beaufort, Bertie, Hertford, Martin, and Pitt Counties) through advocacy, planning, education, review, and evaluation. The Regional Advisory Committee meets on the fourth Thursday in January, March, May, and September. Members determine the meeting date for November. Other meetings may be called as needed. Members of the committee are appointed by the Chairman of the Mid-East Commission, based upon recommendations from the county service providers and their respective delegation to the Mid-East Commission Board. This year's award went to Bertie County Schools. |
